Digital Literacy School

On 18-19 November 2023, the Personal Data Protection Special Interest Group of “Internet Society Georgia Chapter” organized a Digital Literacy School for 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. The School covered the following topics: Personal data protection; Disinformation and the ways to deal with it; Digital literacy; Internet governance and cyber diplomacy.

Specialists of relevant fields were invited as lecturers within the scope of the Digital Literacy School:


Ketevan Kukava, Founder of the "Law and Public Policy Center;" Head of the Personal Data Protection Special Interest Group of ISOC Georgia; Master in Human Rights Policy and Practice from the University of Roehampton, University of Gothenburg and University of Tromsø; Master of International Law from Georgian Institute of Public Affairs; Ph.D. candidate in law at Tbilisi State University.

Jubo Beridzishvili, Head of Forset's Information Literacy Projects, MA in Global Politics and Social Change from Malmo University.

Marika Sikharulidze, Digital Citizenship Specialist at the USAID Civic Education Program, representative of the Digital Citizenship Program of the Council of Europe in Georgia.

Vladimer Svanadze, Affiliated Professor of Business and Technology University, Founder of the Internet Development Initiative (IDI), and Managing Partner of the Cyber Security Academy of Georgia (CSA).

60 students participated in the Digital Literacy School. “Law and Public Policy Center” will continue cooperation with partner organizations with the aim of increasing awareness of the challenges existing in the digital age.
